About Me

My photo
Ok, here goes: I am your average teenager. Love to shop, love music, books are my life and so are my friends. I tend to be a little dramatic. Who am I kidding, a LOT dramatic. I'm slightly eccentric and very, very loud. Not so average, then.

From the diaries of His Late Awesomeness, Pox.

[ Pollux or more commonly known as "Pox" was this awesome worm that Namrata found crawling on her chemistry classwork with his said-to-be best friend Debby. I took Pox and Debby home for one day and when Pox was bored, he took some paper from my table and wrote this diary entry on 11th June 2009. Here it is.]

Mmm... these leaves Biggie No. 2 gave me are quite delish. I will prove it to her by pooing all over the place. That will make her happy.

Today has been fun. Biggie No. 1 cleaned out my world and gave me new leaves. So sweet of her. Debs has been in a bad mood all day. I fought with her a little and that warmed the cockles of my heart. Heart...hmm...do I have one? Must explore.

Anyway, Biggie No. 1 took me to this place where objects with Biggies zoomed about in shiny things. Ro-ad she called it. Next to this place where objects with Biggies zoomed about, Biggie No. 1 handed me over to Biggie No. 2.

DEWD. BIGGIE NO. 2 TALKS SO MUCH.
She seemed quite upset about this Adam Lambert being gay. I tried to comfort her but she was all screaming and teary and upset. And then, I had a brilliant idea. Debs was upset too! These two could have a girl-to-girl talk. So when I told Biggie No. 2, she said OK and poured her heart out to Debby. Then I was all like- WTF, Stop ignoring ME. So she said OK and played Peek-a-boo with both of us.

Then, in this big zooming shiny thing, we reached this place where everyone looked fully mournful. But then they saw me and got all happy. Ha ha.

Then this BIGGIE FROM A DIFFERENT SPECIES WHO HAD HAIR SHORTER THAN THE OTHER BIGGIES took me on his finger. After I got back to the bottle, aka, my world, Debby was mad. She was pissed because I got all the attention. Serves her right for being a Drama Queen. Bhaav khao.

Then Biggie No. 2 took Debs and me to this new place after Biggie No. 1 said goodbye to us. Tearfully, might I add.

I miss Biggie No. 1. She provided us with an amazing world and even let us help her with chemistry! ( Biggie No.1 knew nothing about her chemistry homework. Hah. ) Oh, and she also gave us totally delish leaves.

Anyway, Biggie No. 2 is still working on her chemistry homework. ( Biggie No. 2 on the other hand, knows everything about chemistry) I went to annoy Debby but she warned me that she'll bite my butt off if I come near. Chicks. Will never get how their mind works.

I am happy. I got many Biggies who love me. I got a Debby who loves me very deep inside. I got a leaf to chew on and oh, I got a place to poo. What more could a worm want?

xoxoxoxoxo
[This is the end of Pox's diary entry. Later we found out that Debs meant biting his butt off quite literally because the next day, we saw her chewing on his insides. Disgustment.
RIP Pox...]

Note from Blog Owner : I'm leaving comments open for this one. If anyone would like to say some last words for Pox, please do so in the Comments.

Woes of Women

For aeons, men have dominated the face of Mother Earth. They consider themselves the rulers of her. But that's not why I'm writing this article. I'm writing this to tell you about how women have been shunned while the world we live in has become a Man's world.

In The Da Vinci Code, a well researched book, Dan Brown mentions that through the centuries, men started to neglect women. They started to consider her unholy, when earlier, she was considered the spiritual part of the species of Homo sapiens. The Catholic church decided that free-thinking women were witches on Earth. To eradicate these women, they burnt an astounding 5 million women. Yes, 5 million. And why? Because women used their scientific knowledge to ease the pain of childbirth?which was apparently a deserved punishment because Eve got dibs on the Apple of Knowledge? No. It's because men were afraid. They knew, if these free-thinking women were released from their lashes, they could dominate the world.

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone. All I'm saying it look at the facts. Ignoring the biological truth about women being able to give birth, Man, is said to be The Creator. How can people be so incredibly blind? It is a clear fact that women, ONLY women can create life.

The worst part is that traces of this sexist behaviour can be observed even in today's world. In a developing nation like India, women are burnt because their spouse learnt that there's a female inside her womb. How can people possibly be so heartless? Even worse, are women who encourage this behaviour, the ones who are ashamed to be one.

But now, with the new generation, women are not listening to it anymore. They are standing up for themselves. They are dominating every field and yet I dont see any free-thinking men being burnt up. With feminists like Sudha Murthy and Shobha De` and thousands of other ignited souls, women are finally returning to their rightful place in society.

Inhuman Inferno

Note: This is one of the more deep articles that I've written. It is about something which upset me and I felt that everyone deserves to know of it.

13 August 2008.
During the peaceful extra-curricular activities in the morning, all the students of class eight and nine heard traumatic barks and cries for help. Everyone was stunned by these pleas for help. Students rushed out to see what was causing these atrocious screeches. All of us were thunderstruck when we saw that in today’s world, a dog which was stuck in a school pantry was practically being beaten to death by a member of the school helpers.

A member of the school staff claims that he was simply trying to 'scare' the poor creature. Though there were others who saw the dog being beaten and saw its teeth strewn all over the ground, He did not accept what he did. It was clear from the fact that the dog's teeth were on the ground and the blood around the pantry that it was tortured and tormented.
When the dog's barking finally stopped, the staff member walked away and a group of students gathered around the unconscious dog. Most of us had tears in our eyes.

It’s hard to believe that a human could even think of beating up a poor creature. But it’s true. I saw it. And trust me, it’s not pretty. I'm no one to tell you to stop torturing animals or to stop someone from torturing them. But I am going to ask you to think about it. A Human Being, just like you and me, chose to beat up a helpless dog, who did not have anywhere else to go to take shelter
